Most Popular Haircuts Sported by athletes in the 2017 NBA Season
Sports has become the platform that athletes use to express themselves whether it be fashion or expression of opinion. Particularly, some of the most famous athletes are known for their bold or bizarre hairstyles. A person’s hairstyle can be a direct reflection of their personality. Let’s delve into some of of the most popular haircuts from prominent figures in the NBA from the 2017 Season.
The Bald Fade
The Bald Fade is a classic haircut, and has been sported by the King James himself for the last few years. He and others in the NBA such as Tristan Thompson, Damion Lillard, and Draymond Green have all been seen with this style this season.
Many players have transitioned from a traditional haircut to a Bald Fade. This look gives off a youthful and clean appearance.
This is one of those looks that will always be around and will never go out of style.
The Mohawk Fade
This style may be the most recognized haircut in the NBA. James Harden’s mohawk and his beard have become as much a part of him as his game.
This is a look that takes a certain level of confidence and swagger to pull off. Giannis Antetokounmpo has also began getting this cut.
As far as the style, a Mohawk can have several looks: spiky hair, curls, or even the sponge brush. It’s all contingent upon your personality.
On another note how could I possibly mention Mohawks without mentioning the Birdman?? That would be an injustice.
Umm....I’m Not Exactly Sure if This is Actually Considered a Haircut
For the past two seasons, Deandre Jordan seemingly has just been letting his hair grow and letting it twist/lock up. It’s sort of an organized chaos look. Although his hair grows wild and feely, he keeps it looking manageable by getting consistent edge ups.
Several other players, including Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose, have switched to this style.
This look can easily be acquired by having patience to let your hair grow, and using a curl sponge/comb to twist your hair.
You should be able to find curl sponges/combs at your local beauty supply store, or at www.amazon.com
