THE LEAVES ARE CHANGING COLORS AND FOOTBALL SEASON IS IN FULL SWING. HOMECOMING 2017 IS FINALLY HERE.
Homecoming season isn't just about football games and concession stands. It's a great time to reminisce about the good ol' days when we all had very little responsibilities and were collectively groveling over too much work. Now that those days are over, homecoming is the perfect time to reconnect with old friends and talk about how great or not so great post-grad life is. Here are some tailgate outfit inspiration to take the stress out of finding the perfect outfit. For your 70 degrees and above... The weather will be warm the further you travel south, so forget carrying a bunch of clothing options and pack light. This is the perfect excuse to purchase your alma mater's paraphernalia, even when you're attending another school's homecoming. Wearing a t-shirt and distressed denim is a safe choice, but if you want a cleaner look, rock a pair of seasonal chino pants. Adding abandana to your look is another great accessory to stay cool, wipe the sweat away, or add style. Don't forget to pack a pair of clean tennis shoes and sunglasses. You'll need them to block the sun and the haters.
Cool, windy, or brisk...
Take out the denim jackets, sweaters, and knit hats. Homecoming can be a time when the weather can be hard to handle. It might be raining, snowing, or extremely windy. It's important to invest in a thick outer shell, like a letterman or varsity jacket. Pack a scarf and a knit cap to keep your head and neck warm and to complete the outfit, throw on a pair of boots to stomp around the yard. If you take anything away from this is LAYERS. Not only will you be the best-dressed gentleman at homecoming, but it's how you beat the weather.
